WHISPERING IN THE GRASS

2014: FROM MEADOW TO PLAYING FIELD - HOW IT CAN BE DONE

One of these 'beetle' pods is now in the common room of the Leipzig vocational centre for people with hearing loss and communication impairments. It is greatly appreciated there, too, and the beetle rarely gets a rest, being one of the most popular places for people to sit. A good place for discussing business collaboration can be used just as well for relaxing.

2011: gently swaying, luscious green blades of grass soar upwards Among them is something shiny, round and somehow magical. Like shimmering beetles dozing in the sun. The people, who seem unusually small and look up at the blades of grass, talk of a change of perspective. Many of them disappear inside the beetles and then re-emerge with an expression of satisfaction. After the EuroShop trade fair in Dusseldorf, the beetles provided an inviting place to sit in other places, too.

2017: During a walking tour concerning the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, people look out for an opportunity for a short rest. Just for a brief sit-down - there is still so much to see. The beetle capsule with its comfy seats is just the right thing along the way. Surrounded by 500 wooden steles in the gateway entitled "Youth", a labyrinth made up of timber logs of various heights. A symbol for the emotional ups and downs of young people - a good place to pause and take a deep breath.
